About the Event
Make-A-Wish remains focused on keeping our wish kids and families, community supporters, volunteers and employees safe. Due to current medical and public concerns Make-A-Wish Greater LA has made the difficult decision to cancel our April 4th Walk for Wishes. As always, we remain committed to our vision of granting the wish of every eligible child fighting a critical illness.
This event has been a staple of Make-A-Wish, and the funds raised have granted hundreds of wishes throughout the years. Our hope is each of you will still fundraise and take part in our Walk “virtually” by making sure you collect your 10,000 steps on April 4th, while thinking of all the children who you’ll be helping. With over 550 children waiting in LA, we need your support now more than ever! Our Walk normally raises the funds to grant 20 life-changing wishes, but we currently have raised only enough to grant 10. Continued support will allow us to reach our remaining 10 wish children.
Thanks to our event sponsors BrightView, Eli’s Collision Repair, Frigo Cheese Heads, Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Football Club, Mattel, Inc., and Marsh & McLennan – we will continue to provide incentives to all donors who reach fundraising milestones. Wishes are waiting. You can help. Donate today.
Thank you for your understanding as we navigate this challenging time.
Sincerely,
Mike Kallhoff
